A small wooden cottage on our plot in Aio — trees around it, quiet at night, and musee AUTOMATON just next door.
The cottage has two single beds, and we can lend up to two sets of futons (¥2,000 per set) — enough for a family. It's the whole cottage to yourselves, so the price doesn't change with the number of guests (¥23,000 for two or more). If there are more of you, bring sleeping bags or bedding and there's floor space to lay them out.
Air conditioning, refrigerator/freezer, hot plate, oven microwave (with toaster), tabletop gas cooker, electric kettle, hair dryer, toilet, shower, and a fire pit. Wi-Fi included. Free parking on site.
A gas cooker, pans, knife, cutting board, bottle opener, dish soap, pots, and a full set of tableware. Please plan to bring your own food.
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, bath and face towels, tissues. Toothbrushes and towels are provided for up to two guests — please bring your own if there are more of you. Sleepwear is not provided.
The cottage has a shower only — there is no bathtub.
You can BBQ on the wooden deck and use the fire pit a little further out. We provide a table set, grill, and disposable grill nets. Please bring your own charcoal, or pick some up at Michi-no-Eki Aio. BBQ sets can be ordered from Michi-no-Eki Aio (tel. +81 83-984-5704); please order, or cancel, at least two days before your stay. Ask them directly for current prices.
Book here and you pay on arrival, in person at musee AUTOMATON — cash, credit card, or QR-code payment. We hand you the key and show you around ourselves. If anything needs changing after you book, email [email protected] or call +81 90-6405-2141.
Cottage guests get two free hours at musee AUTOMATON (by prior arrangement). Guests can visit any day of the week, and the museum stays open until 22:00 for them.
Cancellation is free up to the day before check-in. Cancelling on the day of your stay is charged at 50% of the room rate; a no-show without notice is charged at 100%.
